Renovation of the existing office complexe, restoration of the classified zones. Extension of the underground musea and newly-built offices, following the existing offices.
The functions of the building are quite extended:
The underground basements, vaults and ancient foundations of the Palace of Brussels are being used as musea.
The aboveground levels are being transformed into ultramodern offices with cabinet for the ministers included.
Some annexes are publically accessible . A restaurant and a parish hall were accommodated in these annexes.

An important part of the confirmation was the restoration and renovation of the façades and roofs, which had to be rebuilt following the old (12th century) construction methods.
