Residence Aureus - Poperinge

Description

Residence Aureus, located at the Werf house numbers 46, 48 and 50 in Poperinge, contains a total of 21 apartments distributed across three floors. Each apartment has two separate bedrooms. The floor surface areas of the apartments vary from 71 m² to 99 m². The designs vary enough to allow the apartments to be tailored to provide solutions for every housing need.

The apartments all have a sunny, south-facing terrace with large sliding windows. Some ground floor apartments have a garden. During the development of the Aureus apartment block, plenty of attention was paid to handicapped accessibility. This makes the block perfectly suited to the “life-long living” principle. The lifts and corridors are sufficiently wide to ensure these are accessible for everyone. The Aureus apartment block contains everything necessary for comfortable living. There is a separate bicycle storage room and garbage storage room. Each apartment has its own separate parking space. The combination of plaster and wood in the façade provides a contemporary architectural design. Character, identity and appearance were deliberate parts of the design. All exterior framing is made with aluminium and super-insulating glazing.

Full attention was given in the project to ensure there was extensive insulation and ventilation with heat recovery. The energy-saving measures collectively generate a low E-level and K-level to reduce the energy bill. We also focused on providing a well-designed layout of the communal areas such that usage and administrative costs would be minimised.
