Geldmuntstraat - Bruges

The Geldmuntstraat, Noordzandstraat, Kopstraat and a portion of the Eiermarkt roadway are being relaid for the City of Bruges.
The existing roadways and footpaths are being broken up, the drainage totally renovated including the house connections, and the foundation laid in lean concrete, followed by roadways and pavements in natural stone setts.
In several zones along the entire route, seating blocks and seating elements in natural stone are being provided, with stainless steel warning studs and guidelines for the visually impaired and bicycle stands.
Phase one begins on 19 January 2015 and runs until the end of April 2015. Phase two starts on 10 August and runs till mid-December 2015. The third and final stage starts on 4 April 2016 and continues until the end of June 2016. 310 calendar days are scheduled for the task.
During the three phases, work is also being carried out by the various utility companies.

Willemen Infra - the largest Belgian road construction company - came into being on 1 July 2018 as a result of the merger between Aswebo, Aannemingen Van Wellen and the infrastructure department of Kumpen.
