Noorderlaan bridges - Antwerp

Description

The replacement of the Noorderlaan bridges was part of the extensive Mobility Master Plan for Antwerp. The project involved the construction of two bridges across the Albert canal to cope with the increasing flows of traffic both on the canal and the road. In spite of the phased approach in order to keep the disruption caused to shipping and road traffic to a minimum, Aannemingen Van Wellen was also able to complete this project successfully.

Willemen Infra - the largest Belgian road construction company - came into being on 1 July 2018 as a result of the merger between Aswebo, Aannemingen Van Wellen and the infrastructure department of Kumpen.
