Railway signal tower - Zeebruges

Description

Construction of a signal box, including stability study.

The construction includes: lighting, power ( high- and low-voltage panels and batteries premises ), heating, ventilation, comfort cooling, fire detection ( gasblussing and sprinkler system ), structured cabling, access control and work on the surrounding grounds.

The building forms a Faraday cage to protect the signalling equipment against electromagnetic radiation. To accomplish this, the entire building was constructed of concrete walls with all the concrete reinforcement being interconnected and earthed to form the Faraday cage.

Since 1998 Franki Construct has been part of Willemen Groep, the largest family construction group in Belgium.
