Supervisory Board

In order to consolidate growth, Willemen Groep embarked on a major reorganisation in 2008, including centralising support services in Shared Service Centers (SSC) and setting up an external advisory body, the Supervisory Board.

The Supervisory Board is an important advisory body within Willemen Group. It is made up of directors plus several external advisers with extensive expertise in their fields. When it was set up in 2008, the Supervisory Board’s mission was to act as a sounding board for the directors. Since then, the Supervisory Board has grown into a fully-fledged and valued control and advisory body. The two-monthly meetings are mainly spent exchanging ideas about the strategy to be followed and discussing a range of matters: major investments and divestments, use of funding sources and financial resources, market trends, investing in new countries, acquisitions, etc. Discussion of key figures is also on the agenda.
