WZC Heilige Catharina - Zonhoven

Description

The current building no longer meets current standards, so it was decided to demolish the residential care centre and replace it with a new building. In its place will be a star-shaped building with several wings.

The new home will have an open character with a view of greenery and will be built in two phases. First, a new wing will be built so that the residents can move in. Then the vacant wing of the old building will be demolished and work can continue on the rest of the new building. The schedule was drawn up so that the WZC can remain operational during the works. The new CHWC will take up less floor space, but will be much more spacious than the current building thanks to efficient use of space. After the works, the Centre will accommodate about 150 residents and have 14 extra rooms.

Willemen Construct came into being on 1 July 2018 as a result of the merger between Willemen General Contractor and the construction department of Kumpen.
