Belgian Embassy - Kinshasa (DR Congo)

Description 

The federal government has designated Willemen to build the new Belgian embassy in Kinshasa. This is a Design & Build contract in collaboration with A2M from Brussels and JLP Concept (Kinshasa). The embassy is to be built on a 1.3 hectare site on the Boulevard du 30 Juin in a prestigious neighbourhood of the Congolese capital. 5,200 m² of office space will make this one of the largest diplomatic missions in the country. The contract was signed by Foreign Minister Didier Reynders on 31 January 2014. Work started in August 2014.

Willemen Construct came into being on 1 July 2018 as a result of the merger between Willemen General Contractor and the construction department of Kumpen.
