MPET Deurganck dock - Antwerp

Description

The relocation of Swiss shipping company MSC from Delwaide dock to Deurganck dock has meant expanding the whole western side of the dock.

This is familiar territory for Aannemingen Van Wellen after being involved in the construction of both sides of the dock in 2005. Once again, the surfaces for the reverse parking spaces, reefer zones, stacking zones and access roads will be built from the sand raised from the Scheldt. Both the earthworks, the drainage system, the construction and stabilisation of the foundations using natural stone chippings and the construction of the asphalt paving at the 800,000+ m² container terminal have been entrusted to the experts from Aannemingen Van Wellen.
