Antwerp Euroterminal Expansion of Car Terminal Version B - Antwerp

Description

Antwerp EuroTerminal, a subsidiary of the Italian Grimaldi Group, is expanding its terminal by approximately 30 hectares.

As part of this project, Aannemingen Van Wellen is responsible for the sewage system and draw lines as well as for the installation of a new superstructure consisting of asphalt pavement laid on a foundation of natural stone chips.

The project will be executed in two phases. Phase 1 runs from December 2015 until April 2016. Phase 2 must be completed by the end of 2016.

Because the terrain is a depositing site created in the second half of 2015, the resulting poor subgrade will require extra attention when it comes to the compaction and the finishing operations on the subgrade and the foundation.

For Aannemingen Van Wellen  the expansion of the Antwerp EuroTerminal is a acknowledgement of the continuing trust that AET has in our company, given that they have also called on our services for the extension of the complete terminal at the Verrebroek Dock.

Willemen Infra - the largest Belgian road construction company - came into being on 1 July 2018 as a result of the merger between Aswebo, Aannemingen Van Wellen and the infrastructure department of Kumpen.
