Terhills Resort - Dilsen-Stokkem

Description

On the border between Maasmechelen and Dilsen-Stokkem, we were given a unique opportunity to play to the strengths of our group on a project that was just as unique: the construction of a new holiday park. What’s more: this exclusive resort was all about sustainability.

Among other things, Willemen Construct built 250 holiday villas, a swimming pool, a supermarket and restaurant and bar facilities, while Willemen Infra took care of the sewer system, roads, utilities and the waterways connecting the villas with the Great Lake and the central facilities. Right from the tendering stage, Willemen Construct and Willemen Infra worked closely together — and their partnership was rewarded with successful completion.

Willemen Infra is a leading, Belgian road construction company with a regional presence in both Flanders and Wallonia. An important asset is that we have all aspects of the construction process under our own management and thus fully control the execution. Moreover, our team of 1,000 well-trained and experienced employees are willing to work at night and over the weekend to make sure they get everything done in time. In addition, thanks to our own COPRO-certified production and recycling sites, we are one of the leading producers for asphalt and road concrete.

Willemen Construct came into being on 1 July 2018 as a result of the merger between Willemen General Contractor and the construction department of Kumpen.
