Viaduct "des Allemands" - Visé

‹ Prev Next ›
Description

The 523 meter long Pont des Allemands, in use since 1917, is one of the most remarkable works of art on the Belgian railway network. Every day, about 80 freight trains use it to cross the Meuse. A century after its construction, the viaduct was due for a rejuvenation. As part of a complete renovation of this viaduct, we installed a new bridge deck, among other things. The tracks and overhead lines were also renewed and the eight concrete piers were reinforced.

Since 1998 Franki has been part of Willemen Groep, the largest family construction group in Belgium.
