Bus depot - Grimbergen

Description

When building this depot for 53 buses and a maintenance centre for 102 buses, we paid great attention to its integration in the environment. Numerous measures were taken to limit noise pollution: noise barriers, a closed car wash and a refuelling installation under a canopy.

Furthermore, the depot has offices, a locker area with sanitary facilities, a meeting room, flexible places, a training room, technical areas and a refectory. The modern maintenance workshop is well equipped for technicians with five work stands with lifting pistons and three mobile lifting blocks, and there is also an automatic warehouse tower. The car wash operates entirely on rainwater and recuperation water. A shed from the beginning of the last century, recognised as architectural heritage, was completely restored.

  • Renovation of a 100 x 40 m parking shed from the early 20th century, preserving its steel facades and rafters.
  • New construction of a maintenance hangar (on basement).
  • New construction of an office building, including finishing and engineering.
  • Soil remediation (diesel pollution): 1.800 m³.
  • Complete development of surrounding infrastructure.
  • Technical equipment: washing area, smoke extraction system, oil distribution system, access control system, compressed air system, HVAC, electrical and sanitary equipment.
