Museum Aan de Stroom (MAS) - Antwerp
Description
The Museum aan de Stroom (MAS) in the Eilandje district of Antwerp was constructed as a huge storehouse and thus refers to the warehouses or storehouses of yesteryear Antwerp. The museum covers no less than 14,500 m² and with its height of 65 metres, the building is a true landmark in the city. An immense mosaic by Luc Tuymans decorates the square and the pavilions around the museum. MAS opened its doors in May 2011.
