Oasis - Zaventem

Description

On a site on the Queen Elisabeth Quarter site, Defence has had 40 social housing units built for military personnel. The aim of the new Oasis housing project is to reduce commuting for military personnel working at the quarter.
Before the start of work, some outdated buildings in the wooded area made way for the new construction project. The 40 residential units are spread over seven buildings, which in turn are located along a low-traffic avenue with a cycle path (residential yard).

Willemen Construct was responsible for the shell construction wind- and waterproofing, finishing, techniques and environmental construction.

Willemen Construct came into being on 1 July 2018 as a result of the merger between Willemen General Contractor and the construction department of Kumpen.
