This project was part of a worldwide effort to expand and modify three refineries in Europe (including Antwerp) and the US to produce cleaner diesel. This increased the production of low sulfur diesel in these plants by over 22 million litres per day. The High Pressure Hydrotreater is a system that desulfurises diesel with hydrogen under high pressure.

In this context, the following work was performed:

• Site preparation works.
• Pile foundations.
• Concrete foundation slabs.
• Concrete supporting structures for machines.
• Earthing system built into the foundations.
